Rental Registration

$70/Per Unit

To pay for budget shortfalls, Cleveland Requires an Annual Rental Registration. Rental Properties found without a rental registration can be fined $200 a day until found compliant. You must have a LAIC and a Lead Clearance to get a registration.

$500-800~ Per Unit

To reduce lead poisoning in Children,  Cleveland requires a Lead Clearance every two years. This is a difficult test, which requires proving that the rental has no lead hazards at that point in time.

Local Agent in Charge 

$299 Initially, $199 Annual Renewal

To remove shady landlords and bad actors, Cleveland wants a Local Agent in Charge (LAIC) so they can hold someone responsible during legal proceedings. The LAIC takes on liability in the event a property owner cannot be found. 
They must be in the contiguous counties around Cleveland. 

1. Begin your Rental Registration

Use the Cleveland ACCELA website to gather your documents  and start your registration. We can give you an overview of waht's reguired for your registration 

2.  Provide W9 and Lead Clearance

To complete our LAIC, we need your company W9 and Your Lead Clearance Certification.  We need to ensure compliance before becoming your LAIC. We can make referrals for every service you need.

3. Contract and Payment

We'll sign the LAIC agreement, close out the invoice, and prep the LAIC document.

4. Notarization and Compliance

Our team will notarize the form and return. Wasn't that Easy?

Can you Recommend a Property Manager?

Do you offer Expedited Services? 

Same day rental registration is possible with our LAIC Service. Add $100 and we'll get you in compliance by EOD.

How Long is the LAIC for? 

The LAIC service is from start date to next rental Registration Period March 1st.  Renewal period is March 1st to March 1st 

How Does Cancellation work

The LAIC agent can cancel instantly if violations/fines/lead clearances are not properly maintained or resolved, of if the property is sold.

What if I Don't Register?

You may not get noticed for a while, but if the city finds out, they will fine your property $200 a day until it comes into compliance. Better to be safe.
